Degradation of Crystal Violet Using Gadolinium Zirconium Oxide (Gd2Zr2O7) Nanoparticles

Abstract The demand for clean water free of pollution has become an urgent priority humanity. Gd 2 Zr O 7 nanoparticles were successfully synthesized via sol–gel auto combustion as a type pyrochlore to be used in the dye phytoremediation using Fenton-like approach. have been prepared auto-combustion strategy. annealing process was performed furnace at 1100 °C h form defect-fluorite structured with space group Fm-3m . XRD analysis revealed that found crystallite sizes lattice parameters 28.5 nm and 10.524 + 0.02 Å, respectively. TEM micrographs showed presence cubic-like structure size about 17 nm. band gap energy powders 3.8 eV relating impact size. generated finally show significant photo Fenton catalytic activity efficiency 90% photocatalysis crystal violet after 60 min. It determined substantial absorption visible-light region, which synergistically activated by both 3+ 4+ ions, cause large surface area scattered microstructure reactive OH formation.
